According to Roblox's Roadmap, All Creators Will be Able to "publish Avatar items to The Marketplace, including Limiteds" in Late 2023 I Highly Doubt That Actually Happens, But What do You Think?

Prolly for the best, anyone can create games so why not UGC. I'm all for it as long as it is closely monitored.
Hopefully not unless they add some kind of real verification and it is approved manually, especially for accounts with a certain amount of time ingame or linked to some kind of payment info (like paypal or a credit/debit card).
There's too many problems that wouldn't be able to be fixed or at least handled; theft, copyright infringement, the fact they want everyone to be able to make ugc limiteds too..? thats going to be a lot of dominuses in the catalog.
Super likely it will happen, they are basically wanting a VRChat style creator approach. This is also pushed with the intention that people will be able to make private hats for themselves to become more personalized.
Beginning of the end, there are tons of notorious people on roblox and with everyone being able to upload ugc items, the way ugc items are moderated will be the same as the way t shirts and decals are moderated.
No more UGC application Free uploads = OHSHITOHGODOHFUCKOHNOOHNAHFUCKINKILLME.png but atleast i can create my own hairs n stuff,,,,,.
All I know is that I hope when it does open to everyone creators get a more equitable cut than 30% We do nearly all of the work for UGC, all Roblox does is provide a marketplace, as apposed to game dev which gets 70% cut despite a lot of backend on Roblox's side.
I wouldnt mind as long as they give out harsh punishments (for example, account deletions) for copying/stealing existing items. That would never happen though.
The beauty of roblox is that anyone can create anything imagine if you had to apply to be in a special program to create a game on roblox ugc was released in 2019, it shouldn't had been a private program for this long.
Its freaking dangerous and too early, moderators who check ugc accessories are not perfect, some items are bugged and forgotten. Also clever are gonna try to upload NSFW by separating accessories.
